Whittleford Park "Can I take my dog to the park?"

Whittleford Park "Can I take my dog to the park?"

All of the information is taken from the Whittleford Park Leaflet and local information about the park from the community.

Whittleford Park is a large beautiful 63 Hectare County Park, the biggest in Nuneaton and Bedworth.

Please note that some of the paths may not be accessible at certain times of the year due to weather conditions.  Also due to it being a wildlife park some route are only accessible to people who are able to walk on unleavened ground and use steps.

Park signs can be found in and around the park that will detail the best route to take with your dog.  They also show what areas of the park are for families to use with small children, like the park near Haunchwood road.  It also show areas of the park that are for wildlife like nesting birds, like the Clay pool.

So we would ask that in these areas that dogs are kept on a lead and in areas like the children's play area's that No dogs are allowed.

Dog bins are also provide along with bins for domestic waste like picnic wrapping and bird food packaging.  If the bins are full please take you litter home with you and let them know at the Stockingford community centre or Nuneaton and Bedworth council website,

Seating areas are also provide, we are also looking have having more benches in the park that you can have name plaques in memory of a loved one.

Throughout the year we are will be running.

  • Wildlife surveys

  • clean up groups

  • local projects and activity days.
